    Humingbird SI

Ok, need some advice, I have finished upgrading all my electronics to color on my 206, I have a 510c upfront and a 520c on the dash, now I want to get a 997c SI, but since I fish Fork almost all the time, where do I mount the transducer, so it won't get ripped off from the stumps. Unless I'm confused it has to go on the outside, right.

best place to mount it is on the Jackplate...it wont show the SI feature over 6MPH so the Jackplate is where i have seen most of them mounted

I mounted mine on the jackplate, but you could mount it on the boat just below the jackplate, above where the drains etc. are located...

Get you some 2" angle aluminum (you can get it at Lowes) and cut you off a piece about 2" long. Mount the ducer to the aluminum and then mount it to the bottom of the hole shot plate on your jack plate. I have about 3 feet left over I can send you a piece ready to go if you want and post pick of my install. I fish Wes Watkins which is a stump field here in central OK. Will not leak and wont damage the jackplate.
