Suggestions...opinions?

A friend and I are taking a fishing vacation from April 9-20. The first time and 'ol buddy and I have hooked up in a 4 years. We were thinking of Guntersville, Kentucky Lake, chikamauga Lake. With a fair amount of time we would like to fish a few different locations. We are out for fun and we bothe really love fishing. Any suggestion where to go, where to start. We love beating the shore fishing shore line structure, neither one of is very good at offshore fishing. Just looking for input from people who know the lakes......we have never been this far southwest before, both of us are from coastal Virginia/Ne North Carolina. Any tips..suggestions would be really appreciated.

If your making the tour of lakes mentioned, I would definitely throw Picwick in there too.

You will not like Gville at all because of the crowd! It will be terrible and mostly rude idiots that believe its "their" lake! In all seriousness, it will be jam packed from one end to the other. I am from there and don't enjoy going much at all anymore because of the traffic and ignorance. I would say Chick or Pickwick in a heartbeat!
