Trolling motor question

I am just considering buying a terrova auto pilot for my 193 champ.I think the autopilot would be very handy whe jumping down to retie or whatever.I just dont know how well this would work on my boat.Are they reliable enough to count on in a tourn?Are they easy to pull up and deploy?Anyone,please give me some ideas.

I like being able to swing the TM around quicker with my pull/pull foot control than what is possible with the auto, esp when up on a windy bank retrieving hung baits or in and out of pole timber in the wind. I'm partial to the "old" way.
