2 if you mean Champion trailers. For others ( EZ Loader, Shoreland'r, etc.) it is determined by the GVW of the trailer.
yes, i'm sorry I do mean champion trailers. I was told some states require all axles to have brakes over a certian weight. I believe ct is one of those states, i'm just not real sure what this all means. thanx
It is definitely confusing....but I think Champion would have checked the states' regs and complied. You should be just fine!

the state (ri) I live in says it is required on all wheels over 4000gvw. Several states ct being one of them, says it is required on all wheels over 3000gvw.The 200 has a hull weight of 2000lbs. I'm figuring motor, gas, trailer and gear is over 1000lbs. yes i am now totally confused![]()
You should not have a problem with the state. Just check and see if it needs annual inspection. Mine does...
