Why does the evinrude 225 HO 1904 model eat up spark plugs so regularly? Is there a fix to it? Has anyone been having this problem?

There is a special procedure when installing these plugs. You have to index the open part of the plug's electrode towards the injector. Also, check with a dealer to see if there is a service bulletin replacing deflector pins in the cylinder head.
What model is a 1904? Is that an Etec HO?
My 2006 Etec 225HO just went in and had the spark plugs replaced and had the deflector pin update done. I was told that it was due to extended idling, the EMM showed over 50% of my time at idle.
If you Idle have your dealer install the iridium plugs, he may not want to do it but they work.

Also to help out your FICHT, have the dealer install the V-6 E-TEC thermostats and perform the E-TEC blow-off valve test procedure on your FICHT by following the steps in the E-TEC service bulletin about the valve.
With the warmer thermostats, operational blow-off valve, and the QC10WEP sparkplugs gapped to .028", your engine will run better at slow speeds and the plugs will last well over 100 hours.

If you chose to go with the Iridum plugs, look no further then a BRP dealer because you won't be able to find them anywhere else.
I know this because I spoke with Federal-Mogul and was told that it was a OEM part only at this time and that they did not have a date on when it will be available aftermarket (Parts stores).
BTW, I'm thinking BRP might have some deal going with Champion because even the Platinum PEPB plugs are OEM only. If I had to guess, the PEP and PEPB plugs are the same other then PEPB is a BRP dealer only part #. Maybe in the near future Champion will come out with a WEP plug for the aftermarket, but I don't think part QC10WEP will ever be available with the same part number other then from a BRP dealer. What I'm saying is that if QC10WEP ever becomes available at a Parts store, it'll have a slightly difference part number so it's going to take some searching to figure it out.

The " b" at the end of the part number signifies a different design center electrode.

just what is involved in checking the blow off value? an what is blow off value on the engine do.
Blow off valve is the pressure relief valve for the cooling water and is also called a poppet valve by some folks.
The service manual explains the operation and how to test and repair. Some early model E-TECs had valve assemblies whose grommet did not seal off completely and that made the motors run at less than optimum temperature and contributed to fouling or short plug life.

My motor has now done 100 hours, I wondering when it's recommended to change spark plugs?
The spark plug on my motor is QC10PEPB.
Here is a picture one of them, don't know how a new one looks like.

The motor is winterized.
