I bought a boat that has been sitting for almost a year. I replaced the fuel filter,plugs and greased up everything. I also changed out my lower unit oil. It had grey streaks in it. Could this be from sitting or is it water. There was not allot. Also there is allot of play in my engine I can move it left to right with one finger. I found some hyd fluid leaking out of the cylinder. I plan on buying a rebuild kit. Will this fix my problem? Also anything else I should look for from sitting so long?

If there was water in the lower unit it would be the first to out of the lower end. Since it been sitting awhile you should have seen it.A couple of things may make the motor move leaking cylinder or air in the line.Mine as leaking and move alot. Check in the helm to see how low on fluid it is. Good luck. mcgaff1
