What are the advantages of that switch?

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.

Hmmmn, nothing beats out financial reasons. In fact if he keeps his battery in good condition. I am sure the 9 amp alternator will suffice. I keep mine in good condition (although, it is the 35 amp system,) via periodical charging, (on board charger) fluid checks and yearly cable cleaning.

Yes 300 for a stator and 700 for a new flywheel. Unless I go used... but everyone has told me that is a hell of a gamble unless you trust the vendor. Lot of mechanics tell me that those 35amp flywheels had alot of problems with the center piece coming unglue and loosing the timeing. Just what I been told. Thanks for everyones help.
