    RPMS while on muffs

Was flushing motor (E50DPLSDA) 11/2005, with the ear muffs and thought I would gve it a little gas. It would not go over 1300rpms give or take a little. It would just stay at that rpm like it was on some limiter. Is this normal ? Water pressure? Could this be related to a little miss while running boat just under plane (2900rpms)

    Welcome to the BBC.

DO NOT increase the RPM's above idle on any twin cylinder John/Rude on a Flushing devise.

When the in line E-TEC is in neutral it will not go above a predetermined RPM.

I don't know if you are old enough to have even heard of or remember Chubby Checker.
At any rate, he put out a song call limbo rock.
    -------------------------
    Don't move that limbo bar
    You'll be a limbo star
    How low can you go
    -------------------------
Well keep them R's low while on the muff.

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.
