    V20 vs 211

I am in a Skeeter FX20 right now, which overall I am happy with, but looking to maybe get in a Legend in a year or so.

I am in love with the V20, love everything about it, but have 1 question.

I have always been intrigued by what I hear about the rough water ride in the 211.

Isn't part of what makes it such a great rough water ride how narrow the boat is? With that being said the V20 is so wide, which is awesome, but doesn't it diminish some of the rough water ride that the 211 was famous for?

Thanks guys, you guys have some BEAUTIFUL boats for sure!!!!

My understanding is the v20 and 211 have the same hull with the v20 being wider at the top..both are awsome boats.the v20 rides very good for as wide as it is.i would ride in both before i made a final decision..

Came out of 2010 20 fx last year for 211r. Great decision. Best riding boat i have ever been in. Legend is built like brick sh#thouse--top of the line parts and assembly.

I have never been in a 211 but I love my V20....I have nothing against the 211 but I wouldn't be in a Legend right now if they wouldn't have come out with the V20...The massive front deck is really what sold me on the boat...That's just my honest opinion...I'm not hating on the 211 guys out there!

I came out of a 2014 FX 20 and now have a V-20 and glad I made the switch over all I am super happy with the boat. I have never been in a 211 so I could not offer any info and the diff between the 2.

I do know of an individual that has been in the V20 and a 211R often. He does boast about the huge deck on the V20 as being a plus. I hope he chines in and tells you the rest, due to the fact I have never fished out of the V20. I was considering both and went with the 211R. I do believe it is the best overall rig on the water hands down, however everyone is different and some features out weigh others.

I would tend to think the 211/211R would be slightly faster (In most instances...) and have a slightly better ride as well...It just makes sense...It's a narrower boat but again I've never been in one...All of the tournaments I fish are team tournaments so there are two guys on my front deck at all times when we are fishing...I'm not saying the 211/211R can't handle two guys on the front deck...I'm just saying the extra room the V20 provides has been phenomenal...Also, if you are one of those guys who likes to put every rod they own on the front deck then you will most likely appreciate the extra room the V20 provides as well....

If you are looking to resale after a few years...The V20 may be easier to sell...Several guys are switching over to the V20 (From the 211/211R and from other boat manufacturers...)...There will be people who will want a slightly used V20 to avoid paying for a brand new boat...Right now it appears to me that the market is flooded with 211/211Rs for sale...Just go take a peek at the boats for sale page...

NOW on the flip side...If you are looking to buy used...You could probably find a heck of a deal on a 211/211R right now....Just like boat guy's rig!

I would have the same debate if I was buying new today. When I got my 211 I was surprised how great the ride is. I was a champion guy before I got my 199 and loved that boat too. The thing I will tell you is my boat is a 2011 211 and if you didn't know the models you couldn't tell it was a 2011 and not brand new. They hold together like a tank.

Don't get confused a 211 is not a 211R. Not saying that the 211 is not a great boat as that was the rig that got me interested in a Legend. The V20 has the largest deck in the industry. No Doubt, however the 211R is comparable if not larger then some of the other manufactures out there. Buying a boat for a large deck is a preference as for purchasing a boat for other reasons as us 211R owners realize. If I purchase another Legend it will definitely be an 211R most likely for the same reasons Boat Guy is doing so.

My post was not directed at you or anyone specifically. Just stating they are not the same boat. Along with the hull design the deck is 4 " wider has a narrower rail, raised decks and a bit more storage. I was told by Legend these were the changes made to the r series.

The only difference between the hull of the 211 and 211r is the pad. The v20 and 211r is the same hull as per Randy at legend. Randy showed me the difference of how the pad was made and the rounded edge. The 211 does not have.

Regardless of which model Legend you purchased and for whatever reason you are still getting the best of the best in a bassboat. I researched hard and long before I bought mine and I truly believe no matter which model you choose you will be getting the best built bassboat on the market at this time. So kudos to all you Legend owners, because you definably got what you payed for and then some.
