    live well pump

Live well pump has intermittent noise. Any way to alleviate short of replacing pump? If not how do I access pump on 1991 Espirit 1750 ?

Re: live well pump (old rusty)

not sure about your boat, but mine had an access pannel at the rear of the boat where the batteries set. You remove it and you can access the livewell and bilge pumps. good luck with the livewell pump though, mine set underneath the gas tank. I had one pump that was squeling when I turned it on. i took it out and took it apart and sprayed a little oil on the motor and the bushing on the end and that made it all quiet. hope this helps.

Pumps are cheap. I got mine at basspro for $20 each. lot more flow and larger motors. Mine sit at the back of the boat and I have an access cover plate to get to mine.

Hope yours is different than mine. I had to remove the gas tank and a screwed down section of floor to get at mine.

mine to has a hole were the batteries are. the cover is gone but it was a easy fix and added a really good pump and new bildge while i was down there. Going to add an automatic switch on the bilge just in case.
