Chine walking??? Help please 2009 180pro v

I understand most high perfor hulls may walk a little.
I have a 2009 180 pro v with a optimax 150. 23 pitch temptest prop.
It chine walks around 50 to 58 mph. 54 to 5500 rpm. Any thoughts on stopping this?
I have a manual jackplate as well. It was not set, or to low, raised it almost 1/2 not quite, helped some. do i need to go up more??? thanks

Alot may have to do with how fast you're trimming up. You need to trim it to about half way, let the hull settle a bit and then bump the trim in short increments. If you are just pinning it and triming all the way up it'll walk on you every time. Motor height will help as well. Raise it until you loose water pressure or speed, which ever comes first, but keep an eye on your water pressure guage. The rest will come with seat time.

How long have you had this boat??? Around 60 mph is the point where you will have to learn how to balance your rig on its pad.... It does require driver input to make small corrections to keep it on the pad that come with experience.... My advice is more seat time... Pay close attention to trim height and bow lift and I feel confident you will soon be saying (what chine walk).... If you feel unsure if it is the boat or you, then find someone that drives a bass boat with a 200 or bigger to drive your boat to see for sure.... Good luck...

I have an 07 180 w/150 opti 24 temp +. I tried the 23 and it hit the rev limiter with less mph than the 24. With 24 loaded 2 people i get 58-60. By myself loaded i get 60-62. I don't remember if i'm 2 3/8" blw or 2 3/4" but its deeper than most and that's where it runs the best. If its not chine walking some ur not getting all it has to offer.

If your chine walking at 60 mph, it's because the boat isn't going fast enough to get all the way on the pad and clean up completely. Maybe Blazer has changed the hull design some since they made mine I don't know.

Is it a smooth sway back and forth, or a hard rock back and forth that gets worse and worse if you don't back out or trim down?

i am not triming it up to much. i have smart gages. 5.0 is level trim. i cant go but 3.8 trim at around 55 mph bad side to side chine walk. have to trim down and let off gas. my jack plate was not set. i think it was to low. i raised it some it helped. i have raised it a little more and will try it tomorrow and see. with 2 people it does not walk to bad. by myself is when it does it. i was used to a heavy boat like a astro. love the blazer tho

Need to know where your motor is set with the pad, also if your boat is heave one side it will cause it to chine. Another thing that may help is filling your live wells all the way up and slowly let some water out as you go to see when the chine gets worse. Jack plate setting is my first guess in why you are having trouble.

how high should the motor/jackplate be?? i know it the center of the prop shaft from the bottom of the boat. less than 2 inch below or above bottom of boat?
what would cause a manual jackplate to be a little higher on one side than the other????
