    etec sparkplugs

    Hi,
Just found this site, and I will tell a little about myself, before asking questions....
    I have a Worldcat,with twin 2006, etec - 200 ho's,and I cannot find my model #'s anywhere,but have the serial #'s......05129931,and ,05130058

I live in the northeast(nj),where we have hot and cold weather, and I use from march to december...I run xd-100 oil.

I had plugs replaced (qc10pepb)at about 100 hrs, because of rough idle, and hard starting.
    Just recently,had plugs(qc10wep) ,and deflector pins replaced,at about 230 hrs...I
I have had all updates, including deflector pins.
    My question is,can I run qc12pep plugs?
Also the new qc10wep plug,I cannot find anywhere, and my dealer has had trouble getting them also.
I have read on here that an NGK plug is available, and did a search with those numbers(Part number 5007120),but come up with nothing,Any ideas?....

    thanks,jeff

Stick with the QC10WEP plugs. I checked and they are available from BRP under P/N 5007120 (which is a pack of 4). My sources also tell me a part number for a dealer shop-pack of 24 will be available soon.

Re: etec sparkplugs (John from IL)

    Thanks john,
I still cant find qc10wep plugs anywhere,.....do you know of a source?....
The next sets I will be having to pay for myself,I presume....
I am wondering,if BRP will pay for plugs, after the 300 hr service?
In other words, are the plugs warrantied,if they dont hold up for more than 100 hrs, thruout the life of the engine?

    thanks....jeff

The warranty on spark plugs has some rules that must be followed, all the information is available to dealers on dealer port.

Have your local dealer order them, BRP has them in stock (P/N 5007120). Normal delivery time is usually less than a week.

You've now got the deflector pins and as long as your engine is running at the correct operating temp - refer your dealer to service bulletin 2005-05(S) - those plugs should hold up to at least 300 hrs.

    Re: etec sparkplugs (jeff56)

The 502906 is a 10 micron filter. It is the one under the engine cowling.

    Yep just down the road.

Thanks to the town we do not have a sign out there. That is why we are lettering up our 2 20' box trailers.

If you need anything, Parts, Warranty Or what ever just stop in. We will have the plugs, they are in our large annual order. We do have the filters in stock.
