With a 180, I don't see why not. Good luck and be safe.

Re: IT'S ABOUT TO BE ON!!! (Rebel1)

Good luck !!!! I am told my 250 XS is actually a bit over 270 HP and I have not yet got 85 with my 2001 202 . I know the 2.5 280 can be run real high on the plate and rev to the moon but I don,t think you will see much over 90. I hope you do ; let us know how the prop testing goes with propshaft heights vs. rpm and speeds.

I hope he gets over 100. How much lighter is the 18 footer than the 202 in actual pounds as I am told the advertised weights are a bit light?

His is a older model that should weight close to the advertised weight, as should your boat as well. The weights did not change until Blazer started building the round top cap boats., and that is being took care of as well.

When are you going to be trying it out? I really hope you are successful. I heard of an 18 ft Javelin with a 280 that went 100 but I can,t verify that for sure. Let us know when you expect to be on the water so we can find out asap.

I'm guessing it's two months away now. Maybe a little longer right in the middle of tournament time and I don't want to rush through it to get back on the h2o. I just put the post on here cause a while back I was in discussion with some people as to what to put on the back.

I know there's a guy with a 19 footer that can run upper 90's empty without batteries and t-mota. I want to run 100 with my light fishing gear. Theoretically, looking at a prop slip calculator it's possible. But not for certain, it's gona be close from what I can figure.

Is that where the 19ftr was set up with the 260. When he made that run at 98.

The only bad thing is when you turn the switch on it's your's not to mention you've got to rebuild after every 100 hrs but triple D's I think so if you've got the nad's go for it.

That's Mike Davis in his old 190 pro v. He had that one strictly set up for top end runs. Turning a bullet cut chopper from performance propeller at 1 1/4'' above. He now has a bullet 20cc with the same 260 on it. His son drags it in dsra and I think it ran 101 with the 260 at the fastbass rally.

I think you may be able to hit a 100. I would think you may have to do a little pad work. I don't know how much it differs from the pad on a 202. Get it balanced and like chad said jack it up to bout 2'' over and let it eat

Re: IT'S ABOUT TO BE ON!!! (mercury97)

how should I go about finding someone who does pad work. I've already checked it with streight edge and it doesn't look straight to me now so I'm sure it will help. thisis probably one of the last things I will do. I have all my parts now, but I'm still a month away from droping it on. I'm nervously excited!
