set up question on my 190

I have a 2000 190 with a 225 promax. 12" setback, 3/4 above pad, 26 trophy (not worked.) 80 mph at 6500 rpm's (speed is by myself) I really haven't tried other props yet. I think I can get a little more out of this set up. When I am running around 60-70 when I go to wide open throttle the bow of the boat dives down a little. I would guess that I need a prop with more bow lift? I am not too fimiliar with the turbo props. But I have been hearing good things about them. Any suggestions.....???

Have you tried lowering your plate? You might be to high to carry the bow. The TXP props will give you alot more lift.

Wouldn't lowering my plate make me loose rpm's and slow me down?

Your prop has to "grip" the water to lift the bow, if you are high enough for it to loose its grip your bow will fall.Just guessing your boat should run mid 80's light. By the way I looked at it in the owners pictures, good looking boat!

Get your hands on a 28 ET or get with me. I have a prop for you to try. Your to low with your motor. You should be able to run your prop shaft 1" - 1 1/2" above the pad. I'd also add some 2" spacers to you jackplate.

I'd listen to Chad, and I'd suggest running a chopper(bullet cut) or even a 3 blade performer, both props around the 26p range

I ran a 26" bullet cut chopper, and it was slower than the trophy, (with my current setup) I am going to go with more set back, then try some different props....Chad I would like to take you up on that offer after I change jackplates.
