    Pulling skiiers?

    Hey Guys,
Every year the family goes camping one week in the summer. The kids love it! Last year while pulling the kids. I noticed that I have to maintain good speed just too keep on plane. A little too fast for the tube. Will lowering the Jackplate help this or do I need to get a lower pitched 4-blade prop?
    Thanks,
    Dex

I would definitely go with getting a lower pitched prop. By doing this, you'll allow the motor to get up in farther in it's rpm range instead of lugging around at a low rpm. I'd go down at least 2 sizes. Just don't forget you did that and hammer down and over rev it.

I went down one size to a 4-blade Trophy prop and added a SE300 hydrofoil and now I can stay on plane in the low 20's and it makes a big difference. The kids didn't like tubing at 30+
