What can be used in place of the plastic latches and locks? Most of mine are not functioning properly, the plastic hadles are not very stable feeling and are either already broke, or not far from it. I would need the whole assy's. Dont care if they are locking or not, but if they were it would be great.

Contact C&O Marine's Parts department (1-888-868-0361). They have the good stainless/chrome (whatever) Perko latches like what are used on the Blazers now in stock and can get them shipped out to you. Plus, the new latches add a little bling bling to the boat.

Their latch prices seem reasonable. However, I sent an email to them about shipping and it will cost $13. Does this sound a little high? This is the only place I've found to buy Perko latches. If I want a new livewell latch, I'll have to pay up.
I have a 2000 202 and replaced all my factory latches with Perko lockable latches. The Perko latches are very sturdy and stout. The only problem is that the Perko latches require a slightly larger hole in your lids to make them fit (about 1/8" larger hole). I tried a Dremel tool but took too long so I ended up using a semi coarse half round file. It took some work to file all the lids but the new latches are definately worth it.
