How is the fishability of the Erya comapred to the Cougar FTD and Puma FTD

Guys, I got to check out an Erya sitting in the water but didn't get a ride or a good look in all the compartments. I have fished from my dad's Cougar FTD so I know what it is like at rest and the storage is huge. The Erya appeared to sit a little more nose high than the Cougar to me and I know it has a little less storage.

My questions to the guys that have been back and forth between these three models is how do they compare when you are fishing?
Do you like the Erya storage layout or are the Cougar and Puma more user friendly? Is the Erya less stable at rest and does it sail more in the wind?
Can you fish three from it comfortably or is it cramped compared to the others?
Can you get rods over 7'6" in the Erya's rod locker? The front deck looks quite a bit shorter than the others but the rear deck is huge!!
I love the lower seating of the Erya and I know it isn't as big a boat as the Cougar and Puma but it sure is awesome looking. Does the Erya suffer in the ride category in order to be a little faster and turn a little quicker?

I keep thinking an Erya will be my next boat but if it is more hot rod than fishing platform I may look harder at the Coug or Puma.

John I just sold a Puma FTD and got a Eyra this year. The rod boxes on the Eyra hold my 8' cranking rods fine. As far as storage goes you have plenty of room. It is laid out different from the Puma, but ample space. I will say I liked the lay out of the front deck on the Puma better. As far as front deck space, you have plenty of room on an Eyra for 2 people, and it fishes very stable. No problem fishing 3 people if you want to. Ride is as good as a Puma, handling in amazing, very crisp and smooth. Turns better in the corners than the puma did IMO. Both are fine boats, just a matter of personal choice which layout suites you best. Good luck in your decision making..........

The coffin type storage boxes on the Eyra are more efficient than most people think. You can open the lids for easy access to your baits while still on the front deck by the trolling motor. No need to walk to the center of the boat to open a lid.

We'll I've got a grand total of one day so far in my new Eyra, and I can tell you it fishes awesome. Its stable and doesn't move much in the wind, and is nicely responsive to the trolling motor.
The coffin lid boxes hold an amazing amount of tackle. I got everything out of my 18'6 Ranger in just those two compartments. It filled all of my compartments before. Best part is being able to turn around from the troller and access the boxes.

Thanksfor the input guys. I really like the Erya but I still want good fishability to go with the good looks and handling. How is the hot foot position working for you guys?

It works out fine for me. I had to adjust the slide back some, but other than that no issue........
