    New Family Member

We recently made an 11 hour round trip drive to Columbus, OH to get our newest family member, Grayson, from the Ohio Shorthair Rescue. He is somewhere around 4 years old and is getting along great with our 8 year old GSP, Buster, and especially loves my son. I'm sure anyone who owns a GSP can attest to how family oriented they are, so anyone looking for a new best friend, don't overlook this amazing breed.

    Getting along just fine:

Had one some years ago, have a bloodhound now who thinks she's a lap dog (100+ pounds) and I can tell ya German Short Hairs are great dogs. Our's was funny, I build a nice concrete run with an insulated and heated dog house with a foyer even :-) during the summer though, we had to have a children's pool in the enclosure full of water or she'd get in her water bucket, with all four feet, and sit there until we filled the pool. Good luck on the new family member.

Congrats. Im currently trying to rehome a Lab I rescued and rehabilitated...hard letting em go. Especially this one for me. Seeing that people like yourself are willing to travel so far and go through such great lengths for dogs is the kinda encouragement i needed today.

    good looking dogs

had one that broke a window in a garage to try and get out and bite me one time. Funny thing that dog, emily, was the sweetest dog if you were inside the house with it. Got real protective of that garage though.
