    Eyra

I was trying to find out how much i should expect to pay for an eyra with a 250? Also it seems like some people are deciding to go with other bass cat models becides the eyra. If some of you have experience with different models which is better and why. What are the numbers on the eyra for top speed?

    Re: Eyra (smokedem)

50-55k would get you into one.

With a 250 and a light load you will be around 84-85mph

The layout and cockpit are the two big differences. I like the layout of the Eyra better then my Puma FTD but the cockpit area to be superior on the Puma.If you like sitting in a corvette compared to a 4x4 truck go with the Eyra.

Rough water handling I have heard both ways but I can tell you my Puma FTD handles rough water extremely well.

From what I have read the Eyra has a slight advantage on hole shot.

The Eyra and Cougar have the updated body lines.

Any one of the three will put a big smile on your face.

    Re: Eyra (smokedem)

Just sold a Puma FTD and got an Eyra this time. I disagree with Rich. I like the layout of the Puma FTD much better. I miss the storage box layout in the Puma. Handling goes to Eyra, like a sports car. Ride, about the same. Fishability about the same. Speed not sure about that just yet, still breaking in. I do like the driver cockpit of the Puma better as well. Puma just seemed to have a little more room. The eyra is without a doubt one of the most awesome looking boats built. You have picked out the right brand. Just go get in all the models you are interested in, and decide what best suits you. Take your time, open up all the compartments and visualize how you would want to set it up to suit you. Good Luck.........

I went from a cougar with a merc to a Erya with a SHO. Love the Erya. Takes ruff water awesome. I had to modify my rod box to fit all my rods. The only thing I wish was different was i wish it had a mercury. That SHO is weak and inefficient.

    Re: (EYRA250SHO)

Nothing weak and inefficient about my SHO. I went from 250 XS to the SHO and I think the SHO is stronger - particulary in bottom end and mid range power.
