    FICHT UPDATES

I just visited dfi technologies website, http://www.dfitechnologies.com/
do these remanufactured emm's with updates help the ficht's last longer.
from the e-mails i read in there guest book, it seemed like they made the ficht's run better than ever. Does anybody had any experience with these. If so, it seems like a well spent $300 for one.

I had my EMM replaced by DFI about 3 years ago and have never looked back, my 1998 150 FICHT now has somewhere near 600 hours on it and runs perfect, especially seeing as it sits over the salt water on my boat lift all year round and never gets flushed or cleaned.

Did put some BRP product in the gas over winter, that's about it.

Actually, I bought it used, and it didn't run at all, it was the EMM, and the guy I bought it from didn't know that was all that needed changing.

He had twins, and just decided to repower, insted of just spending the $300 for the update.

I also got them to make me a serial cable and then orderd the software from Rusty63 so I could see what was going on with it.

It pushes my 21ft Bayliner Walk Around Cuddy along at a Max 43 MPH and I still get around 2.5 MPG, that is with 85 gallons of gas, 6 scuba tanks and 3 full sets of dive gear with weights and three adults, and enough beverages to drown the US Navy, so I am very happy with it.

    Re: FICHT UPDATES (RUSTY63)

Yes, thanks, I did, it just need to be tapped with a mallet to drop it about an inch or so and there were the two shift linkage screws, once the top one was removed it came right off.

Who do I need to speak to to get some good prices on parts for these little motors, I have about 14 of them with various items missing?
