The friday before last (14th) was great according to a former fellow club member. Go figure. I've been trying to get in contact with Bob also. Planning a 5 day trip to Raystown the last weekend of Oct.

Hi Double J.........miss seeing you up at the lake but fishing for me at least has been terrible up there. Had lower unit issues again and wound up out of commission for a while because of that. I guess the good news is, I didn't put as many hours as usual on the boat this year and I sure didn't burn as much gas......LOL......give me a call sometime. I'm going up this Thursday night and will be up until early afternoon on Sunday. Maybe I'll see you there??

Hey Mater........How's it going??? Yep, I should have kept that 28 but I know it's in good hands. Have you hit triple digits with it yet?

    Hey Mater

That 28 ET you got from Bob is the fastest prop I have ever run on my Bullet.

The first time Bob let me try it, I hit 86 MPH with my 20XD/225X Pro Max, and have never found a faster prop, (for my rig; that is), yet. I have tried Performers, ET-cut Performers, Bullet-cut Choppers, etc., etc., but nothing campared to that 28 ET you got from Bob.

Bob also has a 30 ET which I also ran, and I may have passed the 86 mark, but I ran out of lake. It took a real long time on my rig to wind up, but Bob has had his Ally up to 95-96 with that 30 ET..............and that's with the same 2003 225X Pro Max as mine.

    Take care. Double J

Forget it Mater..............he'll never sell ya his 30, cause it's the fastest prop he ever ran. To be honest, I am surprised he sold ya that 28.

Maybe Bob will let you TRY the 30. You will certainly be way over 100 with that baby.

Double J..........You are just jealous towards Mater since he got the 28, LOL. Please remember that I offered it to you first at the "special" price. ($1.00 off the price Mater got it for!) As I remember, you were too cheap to buy it but somehow since then, you purchased 27 other props.....har, har, har.

I told you BoB that I was finished with all of those "fast" over-the-hub- type props. I have tried lots of them, and they are definitely fast, but most of the ones I tried, take forever to wind up to maximum speed & RPMs..............at least on my rig. Plus the hole shot, (while pretty good on some of them), is no where near as quick as.............say my Bravo, (once again....that's on my rig).

Besides, no matter what fast prop I try, my rig will never be as fast as your Ally, with the same exact motor, so why bother.

I wanted a rig that was really laid out nice for fishing , but I also wanted a rig that would do 80+, and that is exactly what I got with my Bullet.

I spent a lot of time on the water trying different props, (including yours; which I thoroughly enjoyed), and I even recorded all of the data for several props, but I could have used that same time to fish, which is really what I enjoy, So...................I am resolved to sticking with three fishing props for now.............My 26 Bravo, 26 3-blade Turbo, and my 26 Hydromotive Quad IV-X-O/B, (IF IT EVER GETS HERE). They are all larger barrel through the hub, or thru and over the hub type props which are great fishing props and able to carry a heavy fishing load............ON MY RIG. In fact, with the Bravo and the Turbo, I don't notice any difference in performance when fishing solo, or with a partner and all of his gear. AND the acceleration is unreal. That's what really does it for me........a really quick hole shot and super acceleration.

If I do decide to try some other prop, it will be a Bravo- type prop for sure. In fact, I have been seriously been thinking about another 28 Bravo, which I had once and sold.

Choppers, Cleaver, ETs, Performers, are great for posting high numbers, but posting high numbers doesn't seem to interest me so much anymore. I think the 86 MPH I posted with your 28 ET is about as high as I am ever going to see.....................UNTIL MY NEXT 20' BULLET WITH A 250 XS. HA !!!!!!

My philosophy session is over; Cya up on the lake. Double J

    Re: (This is Double J)

That ET will launch mine out of the hole, with or without a full load, and it's a lead sled

I think a 30ET would run on mine good. I wish I would have got that 29 ET that Paul had for sale a while back. Bet it would run sweet. Hope to get past that century mark next weekend unless the water is bad.
