I lost compression in 1 cyl last weekened and after removing the head have realized that the piston blew a ring, ate the piston and scored the walls, and seems to have cracked the head somewhat. The dome on the head is pitted with little 2mm square pits and gashes and there are lines (cracks?) in it originating from the pits. At this point he motor still ran and idled smoothly, never would know but hte power just was not there. 3 out of 4 have 125 psi compression and 1 is ZERO. So now what should I do. Is it worth rebuilding, can I have one cyl bored out and leave the rest? Or do i need to have them all done. I just wanted it to last a few more months and I was going to sell it.. What is a reasonable cost for having a V4 power head bored .020 over? thanks for the input
