    Which would be better on fuel milage?

    I am looking a 2 motors for my saltwater boat 24ft aquasport. Which one would be better on fuel milage?

    1st motor is a 2002 Mercury Optimax 225 saltwater series

    2nd motor is a 2000 Yamaha 250 efi ox66 saltwater series

    Boat weighs approx 4500lbs.

    I'm no expert, but just based on owning an OptiMax and a OX66 in the past, I think the OptiMax would be better by a LONG ways....

    The Opti will get better fuel economy than the EFI hammer
