I was looking at the profiles of the Elite guys boats and noticed not one runs a Verado. I find that very interesting that Mercury wouldn't set some of them with their 4 stroke seeing as it's great marketing. My question is what's up with that??

I thought I saw in a add in BassMaster that Fred Roumbanis was running a Verado, I may be wrong.
There too heavy 600+ lbs if they could drop about 100 lbs I think you wohld see way more of em.

Just a guess but as mentioned above the extra weight of that engine combined with the dual power poles, etc could have something to do with it. Not necessarily talking about speed but the ability to access shallow waters and such. But I really dont know why you dont see very many...

Yup your right!
Mercury has a Basscat with a 300hp on the back so there lightly pushing the bass boat market but not to well I see.
