We were there week before last and the bite was on. Got my first 10+ the first morning. A couple of the guys were boating 35-40 fish a day with several right at 10. Had to leave after only 3 days when the Pro XS ate the belt tensioner but we are leaving for 8 days on Friday.

Had enough of the wind today, and supposed to be worse tomorrow with gust up to 40-45...so we are heading back...not worth another 3 nights hotel, fuel etc to fight a trolling motor all day just to try to fish. So looks like I will be lounging at the pool and hot tub at the house with a cold drink and hot wife

Man that sucks, we were there a couple weeks ago. We got lucky, the first day was super windy but we only missed a couple hours of fishing. Then we had 5 days that was almost to calm. The 6th and last day to fish it blew really hard so we came on home. You did the right thing. In the high winds that lake is pretty much unfishable, It looks like the ocean.
