Moral Crusaders - do they ever give up?

They were outside the KFC Yum! Center, preaching on a loud speaker, telling everyone that they are doomed....seriously? Their banners seemed to be targeted at drunkeness - did they not realize that the tournament games are dry?

I just don't get what they are trying to accomplish. They are always outside the gates during the KY Derby too, usually trying to insult people, especially women.

Wouldn't the old saying "you catch more flies with honey" be more suiting? Why do they always have to try and insult people and use scare tactics?

"Scare tactics" are meant to play on a persons fears. Whats the quickest way to get someones attention; put the fear of god in them either truthfully or through lies. Some people in this country just need to feel like they are morally superior to others and will go to any means to bring their message.

some do it for attention.. I can think of better ways to make a point.

I also think loving them is better than scaring them..

I love how the holy rollers are always in revival mode, not that thats a bad thing, but they preach about repentence for drunkeness and whatever.

I know Im a sinner and I need forgiveness and salvation but why do they act like everyone who sins is a "drunk" or another stereotype.

Evangelizing is about leading people to Christ through his teachings not shaming them into it by calling people names.

why use honey...using honey carries with it so little risk of ending up in the newspaper.

Sounds like their message hit a little close to home ? They preach about alcohol because its the #1 problem in the poor middle class and if you are looking for converts, you target the largest groups. Would not get many converts preaching about the evils of sex, IMO
