For a crew cab Z71, that's a darn good price. How long has it been since you shopped for trucks lately?

I have a GMC Z71 SLT. It was $46k. They were doing 10K off so got it for 36K. But this was 2 years ago. Local place here in Louisiana is doing 8k off sticker

Yes they are all too high. I bought my GMC crew in Jan, sticker was $39,895 and I paid $32,025 after all the rebates and my SIL's employee discount.

just bought a 2012 chevy LTZ 6.2l engine with everything last week and got a great deal with the recent rebates they had. Dealer also threw in mud flaps, bug shield, nerf bars, and linex bed liner and I got it under invoice. Did my homework and went to five different dealers.

Ok Update. I went yesterday and purchased a GMC SLT Crew cab Z71 with leather and loaded up. The Sticker was 40,150, and drove off the lot paying 31,500.

I was going to tell you that I usually get a better deal on a Chevy than I can on a GMC....but, never mind.

    Congrats on the new truck.

I always preferred the look of the GMC but everyone that I ever looked at around here was either stripped or over loaded with options. I could always find a more in-between option list on the Chevy. I have a 2010 Z-71 ext. cab LT with leather and I got about the same kind of deal you did. I worked 'em hard too.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

    Re: New Chevy/GMC truck (SoonerFan)

i worked the chevy dealership against the GMC dealership, because I knew salesmen at both. I was gonna buy a chevy, but GMC dealer told me he would match the chevys price. After i was signing the papers the chevy dealer came back with a really good price, 1k cheaper than i just paid. I mean why didn't he just tell me that to start with? Then i would probably be driving a chevy this morning instead of a GMC. Anyway the chevy had only the one color to choose from too, Mocha steel, and the GMC dealer had 8 different colors to choose from. I chose steel grey.
