Fished a little 20 boat tourney yesterday. By the end of the day we only had two squeakers and I had convinced myself that is was just a tough day. Only to come in and find everyone holding sacks of decent limits. Guy be behind me in line was talking about catching 6 limits of keepers on a jerkbait which I threw all day.

Just remind me it happens to everyone sometimes.

Just a part of tournament fishing. Same thing happened to me last year on a lake I consider myself a pretty good stick at. Almost makes you sick. I did come back and win the next one we had there, so keep your head up.

Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger, sometimes you're the ball.

At least its March and you can make it up this year. Youll forget about it the next good day you have. I had that feeling once after the last tournament of the year and had to sit on it all winter. Almost quit the sport.

Doesn't mean he REALLY threw the jerkbait I pull peoples strings sometimes. He may have seen you throwing one or one tied on in your boat.Or that one guy may have thrown a jerkbait and caught a wad of fish all grouped up in the magic spot?

Serious question - Did you throw the jerkbait all day because you're good with them and they're your confidence bait or because you thought that's what the fish should have been going for ?

been there done that ( Yesterday ) so dont feel bad it happens

My Dad and I did the same thing yesterday. Had a game plan, pulled up and caught a 3lb-er at the first spot and knew we were in for a good day. Worked all day long to squeak out 2 more keepers. Went to the weigh-in and saw several big sacks of fish. Happens even to the pros. Keep chunkin!

It was windy 46 degree water seemed like as good a plan as anything. Oh well be back at it Friday.

Fished a whole month last year every weekend and caught none. While my partner caught everytime. Some times you just cannot fiqure it out. Good luck!
