    Minn Kota Maxum Question

I posted this on the trolling motor forum as well, but thought someone here might know as well. . .

I recently picked up the above trolling motor from a shop far away. I was told it was an 80 lb thrust trolling motor. So today I went to BP and bought a new prop for it. Got it back to the house and installed. It was to big and bound up when I tried it out. The Prop is an MKP33 which should fit I think from looking at backing package the prop came attached to. Looking at the MKP32 designation that seems to fit only the 70 lb thrust motor. How do I find out what pound thrust I have. Is there someplace on the trolling motor itself? I'm gonna be a little pissed about this if I was told one lb thrust and it's another.

    Any help appreciated guys.
    I think there's a Squatch in these woods !

I would ask Mr. Jones your question in the Trolling Motor forum.

Re: Minn Kota Maxum Question (Hardhead1)

I have a Maxxum Pro that is 80 lbs. and I think it uses the bigger diameter one that ends in 34. I do know that the replacement prop for it is around $45 at B.P.S.

Look up the serial # on the trolling motor...that will tell you the year and model you have
