    E-85

Just got a call on one of our company trucks. Guy was filling up 1 of our ford pickups, diesel and messed up and put 8 gallons of E-85 in it, discovered his mistake and topped it off with diesel. As all employees know, if you screw up, admit to it and move on. He called before running it and fessed up Looks like a drain job and filter as well as a tow..Could have been worse

That would be a hard one to admit. But I'd have to do the same. I'd have that tight stomach in a knot feeling though lol

Good for him, and for your company. I always told my young sailors to just fess up when they'd screw up. It can probably be fixed if we know about it quick, and no one ever questions your integrity when you fess up first.

Seems like he was gonna try and cover it up because he topped it off with diesel after putting in the E85, then got scared and called it it.

    Re: E-85 (SkidMark)

i worked at a full service gas station , back in the day, and watched 2 guys, delivering 2 mercedes 450's to miami from the distributorship here in jax...they put 2 full tanks of gulf no nox high test into these brand new diesel autos.....too cheap to let someone pump it for them......i just smiled when they came back on the trailer......they made it about 2 miles down the road before the engines locked up ..
