Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove a CD from the player in my truck. 04 silverodo, factory single disc unit. It will not eject when the button is pushed. Just whirls and such and then says check CD.

did you try and hold the eject button down........don't just push and release, but hold it down. I had a cd player that did the same thing and that's how I got it out.
Either that or needle nose pliers........

Just happened in my truck, after trying everything I could finally tried putting another cd in very slowly it ejected the stuck one, I dunno why.
Happens in my daughters car every once in a while. I take a knife blade and get it under the cd while holding "eject" button. this seems to get it above the lip that it hangs up on.

I know on puters they have a small pin hole you can put the end of a paper clip in it and it will eject a disc manually??? Worth a look..
Just point and pull, then go out in the driveway and pick up the disk![]()

Shake the truck upside down while holding the eject button![]()
And its most factory radios..Not just GM...99% of the time i fix a stuck disk problem its from a Burner disk
Thanks for the help guys. The disc has been in there for a while. I am pretty sure it is a original music CD.
Maybe I see if I can find a good sized CLIFF to back off of. This should jar it out. Maybe I will use the 15 ton overhead crane at work.![]()

Its not terribly difficult to open up the cd player if you're willing to go that route.

listen guys, i've had this issue before in my 04' chevy.
If you can see the disc inside after opening the little flapper door here's what to do. Take a rigid piece of paper or this piece of box, like a duracell battery package. Small cardboard whatever. Cut it to about 1 inch wide a however long you can get it. Take a drop of super glue and place on the end about a 1/4 inch back from the tip of the card board. Then slide the "tool" through the flapper and lay it on the top of the cd. wait a minute or so, so the glue bonds very well. then turn the truck on hit the eject button and pull. It worked like magic in my truckGood luck fellas
