I love my FICHT parrt 2 please advise

Last week I made a post saying that I love my Ficht. I said that it was spitting and Chugging but wound up only needing plugs and they advised that i may need a new fuel pump and starter soon. Well...............................

I took it out on vacation and it started spitting and chugging again. I took off the cowl and I saw what looked to be an oil and gas leak on the bottom of the cowl.

    2001 200 198 hrs.

Does this sound familiar to anyone ? I am worried about this blowing up.

The oil leak is common based on my experience with a 2000 Ficht 115. They tell me it drains out of the crankcase back through the plastic “carbs”. I have not seen any gas and that would be of great concern. The only time I saw gas in the bottom of the cowl was when I or a mechanic changed the fuel filter. Was that done recently? As far as if it will blow up at anytime is why I carry a back up kicker. These back up motors have brought me home a many of times.

Same thing here on my 98 150. Lots of gas in motor compartment, dumping out of the exhaust, everywhere. Fuel pump went out. Fixed $600 later. Last week it started doing the same thing, but I checked it out and it was my spin on fuel filter had a pinhole in the bottom ! So now my motor is all coked up with carbon. I decarbed it last night and ran it some, now it runs like a raped ape!! One more eff up and I'm taking a match to it!!
