    Ford F-150 Guys got a brakes ??

Doing brakes on a buddy's F-150 for him. couple questions
    Its a 2001
    1. anyting special I may need? (ie my chevy needed a large torx bit for the front calipers that I didn't have)
    2. should the rears be disk? If so, single or dual piston?

FYI he wont know ANY of this and would like for him to get the brakes before he comes over so I don't have to make a special trip to town.

My 01 has discs on the rear. Takes a socket and breaker bar to get the calipers off. Has a single rear piston, IIRC.

+1........Pretty easy job, takes longer to jack up the vehicle and get the Tires off then it does to do the brake job...

I put new pads on my 01 F150, nothing special was needed.

While you're there see if your friend wants to change the wheel bearings. They are in the rotors and very easy to change. I changed mine every 75K on my F150 Lightning.
