I know I previously posted this but I now have more info.
Motor 2000 175hp Fitch Model 175FPLSSV
This past weekend my LOW OIL light and buzzer came on during a tournament. Check the tank and sure enough only about 1" of oil left. Prior to prefishing the day before the oil tank was just over half full. I ran approximately 14 gallons of gas during prefishing and on tournament day prior to the light and buzzer coming on had run 12 gallons. When I returned home I notice oil had leak down to the transom saver. Pulled the cowling and lower covers and could not find a line loose. Pulled the air silencer and noticed oil in it that came from the starboard side of the motor (looking at the motor from inside the boat it would be the left side). The other side was dry as a bone. The throttle body on the lower two cylinders also had oil in them all others dry. I have checked the return line and there is no blockage. Could a lift pump have too much pressure causing the oil to come back out the throttle body? What could be causing this problem. It has never happened before. Motor is now hard to start and now smokes each time I crank it up but the smoke stops after it run a couple of minutes.
