Smaller company without millions to spend in this tight economy?? I really have to wonder just how many boats are actually sold at the classic VS Boat shows and dealership sales

Do agree on the merchandise though...Would imagine some sales could be made on that stuff

BCB posted over on the owners page that they weren't going to be able to bring any bling this trip.

BCB has said for a while that the classic is not a money maker for any of the boat companies. 4 boats seems pretty good to me vs some others, blazer only had one last year, and they seem to b doing fine. The rent per square foot is stupid expensive. They are doing what has worked for 40 years so they may be on to something. And those other boats have been sold on the court house steps also. Not knocking them, it wasn't the boats fault. Just different approaches

I'd think the "super bowl" of bass fishing would be one of the best places to get exposure for your products.

im sure as with all "shows" in costs thousands to be there. plus probably the busiest time of year at the factory.

As long as it doesn't cause you to post a thread about quitting fishing just to get attention.

Could really care less if they have a presence at the Classic or any other tournament...As long as they maintain their level of service and availability to the customer all is good....

Take a look at some of the prices for parts on those rigs that you mentioned....Bass Cat maintains an affordable price structure on parts and maybe not throwing money away on events that really don't bring overwhelimingly positive results to their business has something to do with it.....I would be willing to bet that the Bling that they sell is pretty much at the break even point..

I could be completely off base here but I would think most anybody that goes to the Classic would have already heard of Bass Cat Boats and the likelihood of getting more sales from it would be slim. I think most BCB owners are a different group just like Gambler, Allison, Bullet, Stroker.... owners and aren't going to be influenced by a booth at the Classic.

I remember when I got my 2000 BC Pantera Classic, I got the boat free and the BCB jacket cost me $27,000.
