    It's amazing that Verizon Customer service personell.......

    have no clue what is going on in there Company



    Contract time is up but was going to get new phone anyway. Not really upgrading to Smartphone (I have no need of it), and there current phone line-up not really the best I've seen. But I follow forums/websites like cnet & phone arena about stuff. So I see the Samsung U380 was in the works for Verizon last December, but said there was no time on release. Just recently I've seen info about they have already filed with FCC on it and was expected to be ready to go by March 1st.

    So I called them to confirm and all I get is "We don't have any informtion about any new phones coming out". I told the person that it has been info for a long time now & saw recently that was expected to be out 03/01. Again repeats that they do not know about new phones. I asked them how they were capable of doing there jobs when they don't know about products that are about to be in there stores by next week. And how they should know about the product & how well it works other than reading the promt they give you...........I got Silence. So I said that if I had as little information about the things that I know are coming out, I would not be very good at my job, and asked them if they were good at theres??.........................SILENCE


    I polity ended our conversation with have a good weekend........................man I must be a real dick to expect SOO much

    They told me the same thing before the iPhone was released. But all they can say is what they are allowed to. Not really the person on the phones fault, just doing there job.

    we got a guy that works at our local store, he knows way ahead what is coming out. He will even call me if the date he gave me changes by a day!!

    They weren't fibbing to you. They have no clue when a new phone is due to launch? We usually get the notification in the stores a couple of days prior to launch. Verizon lets the web chatter stir the interest.

    There are a some who are always speculating but only a handful really know the actual launch date. Heck I see all the phones weeks prior as I am part of the field test team. I have to sign a statement of confidentiality for Verizon and the OEM for each phone that I test.

    Again we let the web create the excitement and hype the devices.
