    FAST FOOT THROTTLE QUESTION

All, Just shipped in my new boat and got it today. 2002 Nitro 901CDX with 200hp Mercury EFI.

It has a Fast Foot Throttle already installed. I was wondering if there is a way to set is up to use the hand throttle with this as well. The reason being is that I am 6'6" and its a tight fit for my knees to get under the dash to use the Fast Foot for short, slower runs.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Re: FAST FOOT THROTTLE QUESTION (tgrife)

I'll have to do some research, but in the past there was a Hot Foot available that would use both controls. I don't remember if it was a T&H unit or made by some one else.

There was one made by "In Control Equipment" a few years back.... never heard any reviews of the unit, and now the company has closed their doors according to a qoogle search

I don't see any way possible that it would work on both.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Re: FAST FOOT THROTTLE QUESTION (Largemouthlou)

    OK ... here's your answer ............................

T&H Marine Supply DID make one. The pedal had an arm that housed a cable that hooked to the "other" throttle cable inside the original control box (or something like that). If you're dead set on this, I'd just call T&H and ask if you could speak to Mr. Huntley. If there's one lying around there somewhere, he might fix you up.

The other supplier was Land & Sea. They had a similar design. I'm not sure if they are still available or not.

    Anyway ... maybe that helps.

Re: FAST FOOT THROTTLE QUESTION (Hair Jig)

In Control is the one I have. It does work with both, but I do not have the hand throttle connected right now because I can't get the control box out far enough to remove the original cable yet.

If ya try the link below, maybe the people they say to contact can help you. I don't know if they took over or not. It is a nice unit tho, but pricey.

Company called Land & Sea use to make them several years back, they also made the first prop that would change pitch as you accelerated.

Got one in my boat, the hand throttle is a little stiffer but other than that it works. I'll go out in the morning and get the brand.
