What to look for in a President

With no political bias intended, I say look first where the money that supports him/her is coming from.

Mr Ed, dont know if we will ever see someone like that again. I began my career with him and will be closing out my career in 2 months. I will always look back fondly on my experiences and our Navy (entire Armed Forces) under the Reagan years...

he is also the only president that almost (single handily i might add) got us out of debt. we will never have a hard core in your face president ever again.

I think he did more good than harm but he himself also trampled on the constitution like it was in his way. (John Wayne attitude) the ends justify the means.

IE: The covert (lying) funding of the Contras. And in the bid to save the party/administration many, many ppls lives were ruined.

But as with all of the Presidents it's not what they actually did it's what they are remembered for. And that will change when as it becomes history.

All in all I too approved and still approve in the way Reagen's common sense approach added up to good things happening for this country. I and my family prospered. ...... But there are always two sides of every story.

I love Ronald Regan and we need someone just him but he did NOT get us out of debt. The US has been in debt for a long time.

1) Someone who has a clue what a budget is and is willing to follow it.....

2) Someone who realizes that if you don't actually work for it, you don't appreciate it

3) Someone who realizes that if you take from 1 man to give to another, it hurts both parties
