2 MLF episodes down...my thoughts

I purchased the the entire package for the $17 and change tab. I have watched both episodes to conclusion. Here are my thoughts thus far.

1) I like the format thus far. These guys are being rewarded for catching fish and in real time. I think it would be neat to fish in a competition like this. Everyone knows where everyone is and everyone knows what they need in order to move on.

2) Marty Stone...shut up! If I hear Marty say one more time "we've taken these guys out of their comfort zones!" Come up with a new cliche for god's sake!

3) Shelly Saunders!

4) The next round should be very interesting where they give them a target weight. The first ones to reach it move on. Not sure how many but that will certainly put some pressure to put fish in the boat and quickly.

5) Somewhat suprised by the first 2 rounds of who did what and who didn't do so well.

I like the idea thus far and find that for $18 bucks it makes for pretty good entertainment. I would like to see more information from angler interviews on how they broke down their fishing area and decided what to throw after it was all over based on where they finished.

I paid the 18 yesterday and it still won't let me watch the first episode with out paying the 2.99... I have sent them an email but they haven't returned it yet.

BTW... it will let me watch the 2nd episode

Watched the first episode and thought it to be ok.
Would love to give an opinion on episode two, however it will not load.

Something tells me that you only have 7 days from the date it posted to watch. I'll have to check and see I am still able to watch the first one and get back to you. I remembered reading this in their FAQs

I also purchased the full season and tried to watch the first episode again and it also asked me for another $2.99 to watch. Let me know what you find out. I was thinking you could go back and watch them at any time if you bought the full memebership. It appears that the events are only available for 7 days after first purchase. They should think about changing that.... I can not get there email to come up.

This format could be used for five fish tournaments as well with just minor modifications to the software formulas. It would be especially good for bed fishing allowing the anglers to return the fish directly back to the beds.

Sure seems to be the case. I can't go back and watch episode 1 either. The advantage to buying the "pass" is that it saves you a couple of bucks over purchasing each episode individually. Guess if everyone bands together and emails them out dissatisfaction with this we can "take them out of their comfort zone!"

sorry we kind of hacked your thread a little on this, but you are correct. It seems like we got one free episode by buying the pass. It is really bogus that we can not go back and watch them. Guess we will have to figure out how to burn them to a disc.

But if it was a bed fishing tournament... they need to have someway to keep the angler from catching the same bedding fish more than once. Just a thought....

I also bought the full season as well. I actually tried to watch the 1st episode last night and was pretty aggravated that I couldn't re-watch it!

On another note..

I really enjoy the coverage. You basically get 2 hours of actual fishing footage per episode. The anglers are talking more and you get to see more. Of course it's edited, but I think in a good way. You see em when they're catching fish, and even when they're not. I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of them for sure.

I would buy the pass again...

The other thing that about makes me want to puke is Ike yelling it's a gaint, it's a giant, it's a gaint, falling down in the boat, getting hung up in the tackle box and then swing a 2 lbr over the side of the boat. Give me a friggen break. After all the screaming he did, when he caught the 2 good fish I am going to hate to see what he does if he catches an Amistad gaint.

I watched the first one, it was good but too much material over 7 (right?) segments per tournament. I think it would be too much for me to watch...

Watching Faircloth catching those bass in that thick grass was awesome. The singing of the braid in the rod eyes and then him digging them suckers out.
Not to mention he is a local Texas boy

7 days after watching the first episode you cant watch it again , that is bs .
