Repairing Trim Gauge

The Trim Gauge does not work on my 92 200 XP is this some thing I can fix? If so what do I need to look for and where? I got a feeling there might be some parts missing. Thanks for any help.

I've posted some links to Teleflex's troubleshooting guides here. If you know how to use a volt/ohm meter, it's pretty simple to troubleshoot the T&T sender and gauge.
