Great topic but you should post this in the next forum down... "general bassboat topics." Your post will just get lost here in the lounge. I look forward to reading some responses. Sorry to say I don't have any good stories . I enjoyed the funny pics though...

You really have to wonder what the driver of the SeaDoo was thinking.....how fast was he running close to shore?

what makes you think it's not a good topic for the lounge? Pretty sure it'll get a ton more views and laughs here than there

The main thing is hopefully no one got hurt. I am a safety instructor and I have been asked some incredible questions and not just by novices . The opinion was once expressed to me that the most important thing was water depth when going fast as opposed to being close to shore and other boats.

I cringe when my truck does that couple of inches fall back when I let off the break while on the ramp. I try to really keep my mind on what I'm doing.

    Procedure, Procedure, Procedure

I hope it never happens to me.

I wonder how many it does happen to.

That's why, no matter what ramp I'm using, if it's like sitting on a cliff or if it's practically level, I ALWAYS put the parking break on. Every time, without fail. It's my backup in case I don't notice I didn't put it in park....and I did that once. Thought I put it in park, only got to reverse, but I always keep my foot firmly on the break and push my E-brake pedal down to the floor, then get out. When I let off the brake, I immediately noticed the truck still moved an inch or two, and it shouldn't have. So stopped myself from getting out, looked up, and saw I was actually in reverse. That's why I'm thankful I always use the E-brake, because that little mess up could have landed me on this thread as one of the dumbasses.
