    Best rod socks?

Who's do you prefer? I know they are all practically the same. I have one of Scott's who's a forum sponsor. It's great but I don't like the way the open end gets hung on the eyes of the rod when you remove it. Are all of them except the rod socks not sealed on the open end so they all catch in the same way?

Not trying to step on any toes on here, but I like the Rod Glove brand best. They seem to have a wider opening at the bottom, and they dont seem to hang up much.

seems to me they are all the same. I bought a few and not impressed. The eyelets catch and the socks always catch the lure. Glad I did not buy more

I use the BPS ones. Solid not mesh.
They are real slick on the inside and outside. Slip in and out of the rod locker rack holes real easy and on the rods the same.
I've never had any problems with them at all.

The lack of different colors is the only down I can think of.

i recently bought some of the bps rod sock and they are not worth much. they catch on the eyes and are too small to go over the bottom eye. sending them back besides that the junk was made in china

I have a sampling of the "Rod Glove" offerings they sent for sponsoring the "Midwest Rally" on Table Rock and they are very well made and have a little more room than the Stick Jackets I have on all my rods.

I use one from a sponsor on here and it works fine. I wouldn't mind trying out one of the angler innovations socks though. They are made from neoprene and have a built in reel cover. But at $21 each a little pricey.

I have had 2 stick jackets blow off the rods, I on the lake the other on the interstate, I like Scotts for the extra strap he puts on for the micro guide rods. Keeps the sock on while boating or trailering. JMHO

I got some of the BPS ones and I cannot get the spinning rod version over the last (and biggest) eye. You are not supposed to cut the rolled up material loose are you?

Looking for a good one for a spinning rod that will go over the biggest guide.

My fav is the Stor's-It but there are some good board sponsors as well I tried some other sleeves but went back to Stor's-It. Coles were great but didn't work for my specific application on my saltwater setups. Great service though and super fast shipping!

Edit: Both went over the guides on a spinning setup, no problem.

I have some that I ordered from http://www.rodsox.com. I like those because he coats the bottom part of the rod sock with a rubber material so that your lures dont get hung up in the mesh. Just my two cents.
