I split with my tourny partner 50/50.....but if we're using my boat he pays the majority of the entry fee and vice versa.

If you can win without him then just fish by yourself. If your partners catch fish that stay in the well then split the winnings. Of coarse split the gas,oil and entry fee, ain't his fault you bought a boat.

Are you the only one contributing to the winning weight? I would consider kinda sh---ty if the non-boater caught all the fish to be weighed in and didn't get anything in return.

My partner pays all the entry fee and truck gas. I pay for boat gas. We split all winnings 50/50. It usually works out pretty even.

50/50.. sometimes we split the entry, sometimes he covers it all. We always split the gas. If I wasn't going to split the winnings.. I would fish alone.

I don't fish tournaments anymore. I was always the boater when I did. We always split everything 50/50. To talk about boat payment, insurance, etc, is tacky. You are a team.

Once my partner showed up with nothing, no poles, jigs or pork,caught zero fish-WE won with big bass. Split 50/50 and I wouldn't take any gas money.
Just made a better story that way

The boat expenses insurance, Maintenance etc. well thats just part of owning a boat!

My partner uses his boat, my truck and we split all cost 50/50 and all money won 50/50. Works out for us.

You just have to do what you and your partner can work out. When I was doing the tournament madness, I always used my boat, my truck and my gas. We only split gas for the truck and the boat if we had to drive a long distance. To this day, I don't expect anyone who fishes with me to pay me anything for boat gas, or truck gas either.

I ALWAYS split 50/50 from placing in the money, big bass and even contingency money. It took 2 guys to catch 'em and fact is I am still gonna have boat expenses whether I fish alone or as a team. We split all fuel, entry fees and launch passes 50/50 too. I own the boat w/ no payments so its a given the insurance is on me as would a payment if I had it. I would NEVER expect anyone to help me cover that. Its just tacky to me.

Me and Partner won a boat.
He said I could have the trailer.

We split the entry fee 50/50
We split any winnings 50/50
We split any lodging costs 50/50

Truck expenses, boat expenses, lures....We just sorta split up which boat/truck we take. If my boat, I take care of it. If his boat, he takes care of it.
Usually depends on who's on the best pattern who's boat we take...we fish very differently, and we pre-fish very differently.
(If I'm broke, I'd just tel him I'm not on any fish... )

When I fish as a team I always split the winnings 50-50. If they give me gas money okay or not okay. Now I fish BFL and dont worry about it. If I did not like the 50-50 split as some dont fish the BFL.
