They have staged demonstrations outside the White House and some vowing to withhold financial support to Obama’s presidential campaign if he approves the pipeline.

What more do you need to know on how the decision is being made?

No problem for Canada - they'll just sell it to China.

And they have their man in office to do it.

Just think of this; all of those high paid people would be going to restaurants, buying cars, boats, etc.

    Re: (milligjg)

Total disregard to JOBS, bringing in 900 mil barrels of Crude a day from Canada to the US...which is better than getting it from Venezuela (Hugo Chavez), the Middle East...etc.

I swear it seems everytime Capitalism tries to break out in the US...those idiots in DC smack it on the head and increase the handouts....and Debt.

You could always buy 20,000 trucks and tanker trailers, hire 20,000 drivers right now and do the same thing much faster OR you could put hundreds of thousands back to work just fixing the infrastructure in this country for years all over this frickin country. If the oil companies want that oil down to the gulf let them pay for it themselves. I've read where the people in Canada didn't want a pipe line across their country to the nearest port and the oil is already being sold not to be used in this country. Or they could do both as I suggested and it would be a win win for everyone involved from the suppliers of equipment to the drivers. If the oil companies get their way you can bet your ass you'll end up paying for it one way or another just like the Alaskan pipeline where all that oil goes overseas to Japan from what I read.

Having been all over the state of Nebraska running a pipe line in that location won't hurt anyone. Might be a house every 10 miles there.

    Re: (milligjg)

They don't want jobs they want the people to depend on the goverment for everything...

Can we just blow up washington (J/K sercert service) and move it to washington on the brazos river. That' what Texas called it when Texas was a country.

we need a do over staring around 1960's..
