Major League Fishing Under the Lid

1/6/2012 - Major League Fishing has a lot of unique features from the format, to the leaderboard to the size of the field and the rules of competition.

While there is so much unique about the program, one of the most unique features of it are the Bass Cat Margay and Nitro Z7 boats the anglers fish out of.

Advanced Angler got a tour of those vessels, and a little preview of the leaderboard system with Bass Cat Boats Pro and Major League Fishing Color Analyst Marty Stone, and Nitro Boats pro and MLF competitor Edwin Evers.

seems like it will be a complex tournament trail with having to weigh and record every fish on the ipad then have to drop the protected water thingamajig to keep anglers on the know about this is your water them making sure you stay the specified distance from them using a range finder. But like the 18 foot boat with the 150 pro xs format and every boat has same electronics and TM

they all have to use either a basscat or a Nitro Z7 with 150's

Regarding the boats, yes, they have to fish out of the ones provided.

It may be a grassroots move to get the industry to return to rigs that are more readily affordable to the masses. Not everyone needs to run a 20' boat with 250 HP just because the tour guys run em.

Kudos for going back ot 18' rigs and 150's.

They load the scores on an IPad but don't make then video compatible with an iPad, c'mon man!!!!
