    Dobyns rods help

Can anyone compare a gen 2 rod to this gen 1 rod. Dobyns/Lamiglass
    706CB Mod-Fast, 7'0" Heavy, Crankbait-Jerkbait
They no longer make the 706 and I love it, cant find another one. Curious as to what would compare. Thanks

What are you looking to use the rod for?
I never used the 706, but the 705cbmfglass is a great shallow crank stick..

The great thing about Dobyns rods is that you can call and either Gary or Rich will answer the phone and your questions.

I, like the other person, would need to know what you are wanting to use it for also, but if you go to the Dobyns website and look at the "team" pro's they give a GREAT line of input on what each of their favorite rod is and what they use it for. If you have any specific questions, I can try and give you a good answer, but again, looking over the website might help you more, especially if you not "exactally sure" you want it for a "specific technique". Just my thoughts, hope it helps.

I have sent an e-mail to Rich. I used the rod for deep cranking. DD22's and RC3.5xd. Its lightweight, not bulky but performs well with the big cranks. I can use it for 8 hours and not have the strain on my body like some other big bulky rods.
