Up here now and I'm thinking this might not happen, the water is really high, no wake zone for this area, but the good news my wife and I got to meet Ricks wife, very nice person, and the view from his place is awsome.

Huh? Is it really that bad? And do you mean no wake zone for the entire pool?
It really is that bad, it would be hard to launch for sure, as far as no wake, I think its the whole pool not 100% sure on that one.

A mess... going to the river tonight (to eat) to check things out. I know about 90% of the duck guys didnt even go out. Now, if you know duck hunters... it has to be bad x 10 to not go out.

Well, since you guys are up there I'll take your word for it. Really wanting to fish up there but if it is messed up it might be best to save the vacation time and money. Shall we cancel and try again next year?
I was putting off some other things that I should be doing instead of fishing, so I am not waiting until Wed I'm backin out now. I don't live up there but I have fished 9 + 10 enough to know that it certainly won't be worth the time and $$ to go up there. Not that I don't want to fish with you guys cause I do but But I can't justify burning Vacation and money.

I talked to the guys here and they're still wanting to go. I'm willing if everyone else is...... woody....... woody....... (hint, hint). If you're sure you can't make it, let me know. Would like to fish with ya but if ya can't I'll have to scramble to find someone else.
Just checked the river levels. Currently at about 18.5. Projected at about 16 by friday which according to the site is "Minor Flooding". It is dropping faster than projected too. Gonna be high no matter what but not as bad as this weekend
Well, I guess if everyone is coming I might as well too (even though it's against my better judgement) but hell, I've been wrong before. Maybe this year I'll actually catch a keeper.
I found out last week I have relatives coming from NV and will be staying at my place plus I need more time in the yard, got hit hard by grubs this year and still trying to repair the damage but running out of time.

Talked to a guy this morning who has a trailer in Harpers. He said if plan on fishing bring a spare LU. Lots of wood and debris in the water not to mention a lot of docks tore loose inclunding the one at the bridge where we put in.

Talked to a friend this morning he said that there is a No Wake around Prairie and Ambros (were the cabins are) untill it gets below 16" He also said they are watching this very close. He is going to check the ramp at Marquett and let me know. Still kind of Iffy. The water is going down fast.
