Hi.
I am looking to purchase the diagnostic software & cable for my 1997 150 Ficht (E150ILEUC/#G04283431). I have seen several versions on Ebay (1.42/1.42b/Ev 5.7.2). Which version would I need? Also need the cable w/ the USB port since my lap top is newer. Any suggestions of reliable place to buy from would be appreciated too.

The 1.42b will work for the Ficht's, the 5.7.2 will work for Ficht and E-Tec. You can get the cable from DFI Technologies, Inc. I cain't remember where I got the USB connection, it has a software disc that has to be installed on your computer for it to work, you should be able to get one at any computer shop.

Does anyone know if the 1.42b can run (or runs easily) on XP or Vista? I have read that some guys have issues getting it to run on anything after Windows 98. If the Ev 5.7.2 runs better on newer laptops I am fine getting that. Any info is appreciated.

I Hated that 1.42....go with the newer version....
