So far everyone I've talked to had the same report regardless of where they were atIt can only get better............. right?
Our first Pool 14 tournament of the year brought great weather and some fresh faces to the ramps. Under partly cloudy skies and temperatures that started in the low 60Âs and ended in the low 80Âs, 16 of the areas anglers fished for over $750 in prize money.
Tim Pettit of Moline, a new face for American Bass Anglers Division 46, but no stranger to fishing the river, won our event with 5 fish that weighed a whopping 16.24 lbs. Tim also took Big Bass honors with 4.33 lbs kicker. Tim caught all of his keepers in Pool 13 on a Sweet Beaver.
Jay Burggraf of Cordova, IL took 2nd place with 5 fish that weighed in at 13.22 lbs. Jay also locked through to Pool 13 for most of his keepers.
Tim Vick of Rock Island, IL took 3rd Place with 5 fish that weighed 12.45 lbs.
Our next event will launch from Muscatine on Pool 17 on June 10, 2007. Registration at the ramp will be from 4am to 5am.
Thank you to all that came out and fished and supported us at the weigh in.
