    Coralville 4/28/07

SUCKS!!! Nothing new there. Still sucks. Fished about 5 hours..... one peckerbass and a snagged carp. That proves one thing, there are two fish still alive in Coralville. Water was very muddy and 55 degrees. That is the absolute lowest I've ever seen coralville. probably about 4 feet lower than last year which was then the lowest I had ever seen it. Good 'ol Iowa reservoirs, good for nuthin' but pleasure boaters.

I hear that all the time. I don't care what they say anymore. I've been on that lake since I was a kid and every year it get's lower. Not just a little lower but DAMN lower. I don't understand it. The river is out of it's banks below the dam but they can't hold any water back? Whatever . All last year I heard the same garbage about Rathbun, everyone telling me it was normal to only a couple of feet low. Then we show up and it looks like they are trying to drain one of the largest bodies of water in Iowa. Hell, they had to close the majority of the boat ramps because the water was so low.
